Palestinian Return Centre

The Palestinian Return Centre are an anti-Israel organisation focused on actualising a Palestinian “right of return”, which if implemented, would mean the elimination of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people.

In 2011 Israel outlawed the PRC for its ‘unequivocal’ connections to Hamas. While the PRC deny any connection, its leadership is swelled with Hamas activists (including Madji Aqil, Arafat Madi Shukri, Zaher al-Birawi and Majed al-Zeer), its activities are aligned with Hamas objectives and Hamas leaders like Ismail Haniyeh speak at their events.

PRC are not just linked to Hamas, several of their senior staff call for violent attacks on Israel. Their chairman, Majed al-Zeer, stated on al-Jazeera that there is need for “military resistance inside the territory of Palestine”. Majid al-Ziyad, a senior PRC figure stressed the need for “military resistance [against Israel]” and senior researcher Dr. Daud Abdullah signed a declaration calling for “jihad and resistance against the occupier until the liberation of all Palestine”.
